With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Phoebe “Mama Lola” Brazas, who went to be with the Lord on March 22, 2025, at 2:20pm, surrounded by the love of her children and grandchildren.
Alongside her late husband, Isidro Brazas, Phoebe raised 11 children, laying a foundation of love, faith, and resilience that passed onto her many grandchildren. Throughout her life, she embodied great strength and grace, always offering wise advice, comfort, and care when it was needed most.
Her home was a place of warmth, always making everyone feel seen, loved, and supported. Phoebe was not only a devoted mother and grandmother, but also a woman of deep faith. She loved in a way that reflected the Father’s love, always putting others before herself.
Though Phoebe is now reunited with her beloved Isidro, her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family. Her life stands as a testament to true strength and her example will continue to inspire future generations. She was – and still is – the heart that brings our family together, always and forever.
Mama Lola, thank you for everything. Until we meet again.
Friends and family are invited to join to remember Phoebe at her visitation on Wednesday March 26, 2025 from 5-8pm, in the Magnolia Chapel at St John’s Dixie Cemetery, 737 Dundas Street East in Mississauga, at Cawthra. For those unable to join in person, the visitation will be livestreamed by CLICKING THIS LINK.
Her funeral will be on Thursday March 27 at 11am, in the same Chapel. Visitation from 10am. Burial to follow the funeral service at Glen Oaks Cemetery in Oakville. For those unable to join in person, the funeral will be livestreamed by CLICKING THIS LINK.
