BELANGER, Rheal Jean-Paul

October 5th, 1957- August 25th 2024

It is with profound sadness and heartbreak that we announce the sudden passing of Ray Belanger, on Sunday August 25th, 2024, in his 67th year.

Loving partner of Carol for 45 years. Cherished father to Paul (Emily) and Jenny (Dan). Doting and loving Papa to Hailey and Sophie. Dear brother to Lionel, William, and Rose. Caring uncle to many nieces and nephews. Pre deceased by his parents Marie-Jeanne Lariviere (nee Laforge), Antoine Belanger as well as his brother (Maurice) and sister (Antoinette).

Loyal, kind, and a helping friend to many.

Ray was a devoted family man whose love for his family was truly unparalleled. His greatest joy was being surrounded by his loved ones, and he always made sure they felt cherished. With a passion for driving, Ray spent his life navigating the roads of Ontario as a tractor trailer driver, becoming familiar with every nook and cranny. Beyond his love for driving, Ray cherished moments spent with family and friends on the serene waters of Georgian Bay, where he enjoyed boating, fishing, and unwinding. He formed lasting bonds with friends who shared these interests. Ray’s heart belonged to his granddaughters, whom he adored being around, playing with, and making laugh. His role as Papa was one he treasured deeply. His absence will be profoundly felt. We will miss him forever.

Cremation has taken place.

A celebration of Ray’s life will be held for family and friends to gather and pay their respects on Saturday November 16th, at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 101, 3850 Lakeshore Blvd West, Etobicoke, ON, M8W 1R3. 12pm-4pm.
