Armstrong, George Ernest

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dad on Monday May 11, 2020 at the age of 88. Dad was very proud of the time he served in the Royal Canadian Navy and his tour of duty during the Korean War.

Survived by his children Wendy Butchart (Bill Black), Randy Armstrong, John Armstrong (Carol), Rick Armstrong (Shelley Hayden), Kim Ferrell (Dan), and Neil Armstrong.

Survived by his brother John (Dora) and his sisters Mary Kenny, Sue Bussey (Rick) and Ina Bussey. Predeceased by his parents Ernie and Susan, sisters Anne Horning, Barb Rowbottom, Majorie Middleton, Sandra Foy and brothers Doug & Tim. Dad is also survived by 12 Grandchildren and 21 Great Grandchildren and many nieces & nephews.

Special thanks to the staff at the Hardy Terrace LTC for their continuous support and compassionate care throughout dad’s brave battle with cancer.

Due to COVID-19 there will be no service. Cremation has already taken place.
