Gus, our hearts are broken today. You are such a fine, brave soul with a heart of gold and a love of life that extends to more than just fishing. I will always remember you climbing our tree, barefoot!!!!, to help out your friends. Your smile brightens a room and your laugh is infectious. We will honor your life and care for your beloved wife, Leslie, Thomas and your other wonderful children. Rest easy my friend. With all our love and admiration for a wonderful friend. Although my heart is heavy I smile when I remember your voice, your laugh, and your smile. The way you made me laugh. I remember the first and last time I watched a baseball game. I thought it was the most boring thing in the world. But it was your thing and I sat in shock in Auntie’s chair. I’m sure I fell asleep and enjoyed a nap. It is memories like this I will hold close to my heart when I think of you.
