Isobel was a tireless advocate for the developmentally disabled and one of the initiators behind Participation House (now known as Able Living) in Binbrook. She remained an avid volunteer until chronic health issues slowed her down. She will be fondly remembered for her dedication to her family and friends, her love of dancing and Frank Sinatra music, and most of all, her ability to light up a room with her smile and laughter. With her warmth and compassion, Isobel leaves us all with an understanding of the impact we can have on one another with a little more love, patience, and gratitude for the gifts life has to provide. She will be profoundly missed.
Final arrangements have been made with Tranquility Burial and Cremation Services. In accordance with her wishes, her ashes will be returned to the Gleniffer Braes, Scotland. A celebration of Isobel’s life will take place at a future time. Memorial donations may be made to the Ontario Federation for Cerebral Palsy.
