Free Grief Seminar Toronto
Any person who undergoes any type of loss will go through a phase of grief as a part of their coping mechanism. Some people may not be able to get through with the grieving process healthily especially when they do not have the right mindset and they lack the right emotional support from other people. This is why attending a grief seminar will be most beneficial during these situations.
On December 12, 2012, a free grief seminar will be held at the Bayview Golf and Country Club in Thornhill, Toronto, Canada. This gathering will have talks about different approaches and techniques on how people can get through different types of losses especially when someone dies in the family.
Families of those who have just had basic cremation after death can definitely be benefited by this grief seminar because the occurrences leading to the loss are still fresh in their memories.
The session will last for approximately two hours. The theme of the meeting is, “Coping with Loss: When Someone You Love Dies”. Two of the best people who are very much adept in grief will be there to talk to the participants. These are Sherry Bennett and Dr. Stephen Fleming.
Sherry Bennett is the Bayview Concierge Managing Director and she can answer questions regarding cremation services, while the guest speaker Dr. Stephen Fleming teaches in the Department of Psychology in York University and he can tackle numerous key points on why people grieve, how people can get through a tough loss in the family, and how families can commemorate their dead loved ones without overly grieving.
The event will start at 7:00 o’clock in the evening and will end at 9:00 o’clock. Since this is a free event, the organizers request that interested parties register ahead of time so that the number of participants can be estimated.
