Terrence (Terry) John Carroll
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Terrence (Terry) John Carroll, age 80, on February 17, 2026, at Credit Valley Hospital, peacefully surrounded by his beloved wife and children.
Terry was born on November 15, 1945, in Toronto, Ontario. His first love was his family, and a close second was his love for sports—playing, coaching, volunteering, and being an avid fan. His passion grew even stronger when his children played baseball and hockey. He was their biggest fan, coach, and mentor.
You could always find Terry scorekeeping at a ball field or in the hockey stands as he loudly cheered on his children and their teams. He was a proud and dedicated father who was always there for his family when they needed him. His fondest days were playing goalie for the Mississauga St. Pat’s Old Timers (MVP goalie in his day) and the J.J.’s Sports Fastball Team in Streetsville, Ontario. Terry was a former Senior Purchaser for George Brown College before retiring.
Terry is survived by his wife of 45 years, Beverly (Post); his devoted son, Matthew (Brittany Moyle); and his devoted daughter, Lauren (Matthew) McIver. Terry loved his grandchildren, as they were his pride and joy. Grandpa always had photos and videos close at hand of Mason, Madison, Hailey, Lola, and Carter.
Terry was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Lenore (Campbell) Carroll, and is survived by his sister, Ann (Donald) Thorpe. He will also be fondly remembered by all his brothers- and sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews.
Terry will be remembered for his warmth, loyalty, sense of humor, and unwavering support for those he loved. May he find his “Field of Dreams,” a welcoming hockey rink, a new red or black Corvette to drive, and a table waiting at his favourite restaurant, Bobby’s in Streetsville. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, donations to The Kidney Foundation of Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada would be appreciated.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Vic Johnston Streetsville Arena. Saturday, April 18th 3-6pm.
Address is 335 Church Street. Mississauga, ON

I’ll always remember Terry for how easy he was to talk to. He genuinely enjoyed a good conversation. He loved his family deeply and showed that through his loyalty by being at every event. I’m grateful for the time I got to spend around him and for the kindness he always showed me. My thoughts are with all the Carrolls
