Michael Brooks 1952 – 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Gabriel Brooks, age 73, on Thursday January 22nd, 2026 at St. Joseph’s Health Centre in Toronto, ON. He passed at 12:28 PM with his daughter Candice at his side. Known affectionately to some as Mr. Brooks, Mike, Pops, Dad but most importantly, Opa.
Michael Gabriel Brooks was born on September 8th 1952 in Germany and lived a life marked by his dedication to being a father, a grandfather, his love for music and providing a good meal always made with love. He is survived by his daughter Candice (Ryco), son Zachary (Alexandra), grandchildren Tarick, Dorian, Michaeya and Isaiah, his brother Andrew Querbach and Candice and Zachary’s mother Diane, who he loved without waver. He is predeceased by his younger brother Wolfgang Querbach, and his parents Linda and Bruno Querbach.
The family will be holding a visitation followed by a service on Sunday February 1st, 12 PM at St. John’s Dixie Crematorium and Cemetery in Mississauga, ON.
