In Loving Memory of Gerald Wayne Merrill

Gerald Wayne Merrill

August 24,1946-January 8,2026 

Gerry was finally called home January 8th at the Stedman Community Hospice in Brantford, Ontario.          

 Forever missed by Susan, his loving Wife of 58 years, and Sons Shawn (Kari), and Tim (Maria).  It is with extreme sadness and relieved joy that he is now in the eternal embrace of his parents George and Dora Merrill, grandparents Ellen and Sternie Pierce, sisters June (Madgwick), and Beryl (Whitham), and brothers Jimmy, Mike, Doug. All his family and friends there to welcome him home.         

 Brother in-law to Reg, Edna, Bob and Ricky Horney and Betty Little. Gerry leaves behind many family members and friends who also miss him dearly.    

 He was a lifetime member of the Branch 90 Legion, in West Brant, and was proudly involved in representing the Branch through carrying colors and marching in memorial and remembrance parades. And he was an avid fisherman, bicyclist, and loved every moment he could spend outdoors.         

 We would like to thank all the incredible Angels on Earth at the Stedman Community Hospice, and especially Dr Sault, and Nurse Nathan.    

 A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Our family kindly request donations going to the Stedman Community Hospice in lieu of flowers.  Susan, Tim (Maria) and Shawn (Kari) would like to thank you all in advance for your thoughts, and messages. It means the world to us.
