BANNERMAN, Faythe Barbara

BANNERMAN, Faythe Barbara

1957-2026

With the heaviest of hearts, we announce the passing of Faythe Barbara Bannerman of Port Colborne, at the Welland Hospital on January 9, 2026, with her loved ones at her side.

Faythe will be lovingly remembered by; her beloved children, Jolene (Frank), and Kyle (Jess), her grandchildren, Callie Faythe, and Frank Nash. She will forever be in the hearts of her siblings, Rosemary (Syd), Reg (Alice), Sharon (Dwayne), William (Denise) and Angie (Gary). She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews, as well as fluffy companion Prudence. Predeceased by her parents, Al and Mary Coombes, and cherished daughter April, her “Pearl”. With a family consisting of both blood ties and bonds formed from the heart, Faythe’s reach was as far as it was wide, she was cherished and will be missed deeply by many.

Faythe would tell you that her best accomplishment in life was raising her children and grandchildren, her greatest pride and joy. Not a day would go by where she wasn’t telling the world how blessed she was to be a mother and grandmother to them. We had the joy of spending a beautiful summer week together as a family on the beaches of PEI making wonderful lasting memories. After a life of hard work in many roles, Faythe spent her days dedicated to serving her community and making friends wherever she went. From volunteering at any event she could at the Seniors Centre, and being involved greatly in her church, The Gathering Place, she left a mark everywhere she went.

Her legacy will be one of selflessness, generosity, kindness, and compassion for others. Even while sick or in pain, she never faltered in caring for her loved ones more than she did for herself, almost to a fault. She made it her life’s mission to enrich and improve the lives of others, and her life will be a testament to that.

A Celebration of Life for Faythe will take place on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 12PM-4PM at the Welland Royal Canadian Legion, 383 Morningstar Avenue, Welland, Ontario. Those wishing to pay their respects and celebrate her life are welcomed. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to a charity of your choosing.

A very special thank you to Jennie Laroche and Tranquility Burial and Cremation Services (Niagara) Inc. for the care, compassion, and support during this difficult time.
