Clifton (Cliff) Brian Crawford

It is with great sadness that the family of Cliff Brian Crawford announces his passing on October 24th, 2025, at the age of 77, in Mississauga, Ontario.

Born to Cliff and Mavis Crawford, Cliff grew up surrounded by a close-knit family that instilled in him a strong sense of loyalty, perseverance, and humour. He maintained ties with his siblings Ann-Marrie, Reg (deceased), Greg, Peter (deceased), and Ted, and went on to attend the University of Manitoba, where he played football and was a two-time winner of the Vanier Cup.

Although his football career was cut short by an injury sustained in his senior year, Cliff transitioned into a new path. He joined The Bank of Nova Scotia, where he spent his entire career, rising from a Ledger Keeper in a branch to Senior Project Manager before his retirement.

Cliff married Jennifer Anne Crawford, with whom he shared many years of partnership. He often told his children how grateful he was for her steadfast support and the life they built together. Together, they built a loving home and raised two children, Kristin (43) and Sean (41), to whom he passed on his determination, work ethic, and resilience. Cliff also cherished his time bonding with his daughter-in-law, Gabriella, and grandchildren Clare (11), Jack (6), and Patrick (3), finding great joy in their laughter and boundless energy.

Known for his sharp wit, unshakable integrity, and quiet determination, Cliff lived a life defined by perseverance and compassion. His greatest personal accomplishment was maintaining 30 years of sobriety, a testament to his strength of character and commitment to self-improvement. Whether through his professional achievements or personal relationships, he was respected for his honesty, curiosity, and enduring sarcastic wit.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no funeral service. In lieu of a formal service, the family invites those who wish to honour Cliff’s memory to consider a donation to Homewood Health Centre in Guelph, Ontario, an organization that reflected values close to his heart.
