Miller, Kevin

Kevin J. Miller

October 28, 1982 – July 11, 2024

It is with profound sadness that our family announce the sudden passing of Kevin Joseph Miller, age 41 yrs.

Kevin leaves behind to mourn his passing, his parents Barbara and Ken Miller, his son, Kendrick Miller; his sisters Robyn Lawson, Nova Lawson, Kena Lawson, Karla Didluck, Barb Lawson; Shyla Miller, Savanna Clifford and Sierra Isaac; his birth mother, Crystal Miller; cousins Jamie-Leigh Lawson; Mike Berntsen and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his aunt, Tasha Browning; his sister, Reva White; and his cousins, David Delaney and Samuel Didluck.

Anyone who knew Kevin knew he was a free-spirit determined to live according to his own, unique Kevin way. Among many things, he was a talented tree surgeon who found immense joy in his work. His displays of bravery by swinging branches down from trees a few stories up, would wow everyone. He was a wonderful singer who out-karaoked many and he knew it; he loved to laugh and he loved to display a wicked sense of humor. He pursued adventure like no other and he would entertain all with the stories of those escapades in a way that could only be his own. Life was not easy for our Kevin, but he did his best to navigate the storms. Anytime life knocked him down, he’d get up again and say, bring it. That was our Kevin. He loved his family deeply; he would have given them the world if he’d had the means and it was one of his deepest regrets that it didn’t always work out that way. He did his best, but sometimes the storms win. Heaven will now hear his songs and his laugh and all his crazy stories, and we will carry them all, in our hearts forever.

“The meaning of life is to have a whole butt-load of fun while still young. Don’t be bitter, but don’t let anyone deal you a fistful of BS.”

We truly enjoyed it and our stomachs were so sore the next day from laughing so much! Keep on climbing you crazy arborist 😂 xo

Ken, Barb and family. I am so sorry to hear of Kevin’s passing. I never knew him as a grown man, only as a baby in your care and Karla and I would baby sit for you. We did become friends on Facebook and I was fascinated by his fearless attitude towards life and adventure. I’m so sorry for your loss and you and your beautiful family are in my prayers.
