Ross, Donna (nee Warnes) April 27 1943 – March 3 2023
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Mom. Donna was predeceased by her loving husband of 46 years, Edison Herbert Ross, who passed away in 2009. She was a proud and loving Mom to her 3 sons Tim (Martine) in Barrie, Jay (Tracy) in Niagara Falls & Terry (predeceased in 2010). Cherished Nanny to Kirstie (Kyle), Joshua & Jacob, Chantal & Zachary, Aleasha & Krystal (Dylan), great-grandmother to Lylliann Brooks, Alyson and Nathan Morden and godmother to Tara Leigh Hamilton in BC. Sister of Dee Ann Marry (predeceased by Brian) and Bill Warnes (Erna), pre-deceased by sister Carol Ann Hamilton and her parents Elva and William Warnes Sr. She also cherished all her nieces and nephews, relatives and close friends. A special thank you to cousins Elaine, Mickey and Linda, Elsie, Bruce, Aunt Vi and Aunt Sue for always helping Mom and being there for us.
She was an amazing Mom with a fierce determination to never quit, a great work ethic, a love for art, music, animals, bingo, knitting, crocheting, sewing, cooking, loved dancing and adored her dogs. Mom’s biggest attribute was her huge heart, as she touched thousands of lives and loved her close family and friends more than anything!
Special thanks to Riverview Terrace Residence staff in Brantford where she lived for the last 6 years and the Brantford General Hospital for their amazing care.
There will be a private Celebration of Life at a later date and her ashes will be transported in July to be buried with Dad and Toe in Hopetown, QC.
Anyone that wishes to donate on Mom’s behalf can make a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Juravinski Hospital. Thank you to all our friends and family for the overwhelming love and support during this difficult time. ❤️🩹

So sorry for your loss. I have been friends with Tim and Martine for almost 40 years, they introduced me to Joanne 25 year’s ago. We feel like part of the family. We always enjoyed seeing Donna and Joanne’s mom enjoyed talking to Donna on our New Year’s Eve get togethers. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

My years as Donna’s friend were immeasurable. He taught me much. We never ran out of things to talk about. She will be missed dearly.
