Peacefully on December 9, 2019, surrounded by her family. Loving wife of the late Humberto. Cherished mother of Lucy Higgins and her husband Paul Spencer and the late Emmanuel Simas. Beloved grandmother of Crystal Correia and her husband Val, Eric Higgins and Brian Higgins. Dear great grandmother of Mathis and Leila. Maria will be sadly missed by her family and friends. As per Maria’s request, cremation has taken place.
The family would like to thank the staff of Fox Ridge Community Care in Brantford for their wonderful care of Maria. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Alzheimer Society.
