Robert “Bob” John Rosetti
February 1st, 1960 – February 15, 2026.
Bob was probably thinking of all of the jobs he had to finish and creating ways to do them as he quietly passed over from this life to the next on February 15, 2026, to be reunited with his dad, John, and brother, Barry.
Bob could fix anything anywhere. He applied these skills in his 10 years of working on ships on the great lakes, 10 years as a mechanic at Archer Trucks, and 10 years in sales, installation, and repairs of restaurant equipment.
In retirement Bob became a handyman. He fixed things at home, did small engine repair of golf carts at Oaklands, boat engines at Ridley Rowing Club, and many other places as his skills became known.
Being on or near the water was a big part of Bob’s life. He fully enjoyed fishing in his dinghy, being the captain of the Cloud Dancer, and piloting private yachts through the Welland Canal.
Bob loved life. He crammed as much as he could into each day. Aided by being friends with “Bill W” allowed Bob to shine and showed a genuine concern for others spiritual growth.
Bob is survived by his; fiancé of 15 years, Janis Hibbs; mother, Jeannette Rosetti; sisters, Denise (Rodney) Barron, and Dorothy (Colin) Suggett. He will be very fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, as well as friends all over the world. Bob is predeceased by his father John (Dec. 2010), and brother Barry (Dec. 2015).
In keeping with Bob’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Donations are welcomed at ARID Recovery Homes (Men’s House) aridhomes.ca/donate. Arrangements have been entrusted to Tranquility Burial & Cremation Services (Niagara) Inc. Condolences can be shared at tranquility-cremation.local/

What materials one gains thru the course of life will eventually crumble and fade. What a man gives to others thru love and service is held in the hearts and souls of his friends. Bob was such a loving and generous spirt. His life lives on in the hearts and souls that he gave his time and service. RIP

Dear Janis,
I am so sorry for your loss. Bob was one of a kind! So many Ridley athletes and coaches benefited from his ability to maverick his magic on outboard motors. Thank you for sharing him with us.
Jeanette, a mother should never have to experience the loss of her child. Thank you for raising a man of generosity and skill. Ridley’s rowing program benefited from the talented man that you raised. Thank you.
My family is praying for your family as you grieve the loss of your dearly loved family member. He will be missed.

My deepest condolences to Bobs family. He was such a kind and generous man. I had the pleasure of knowing him as former treasurer of RGBC. I enjoyed talking with him as he shared stories about his trips through the canal, his mom and his friends cabbage rolls whilst winterizing my Jet ski, or fixing the snowblower, lawnmower or pressure washer. I will think of him fondly when I make cabbage rolls. Cheers to a life well lived and the kindness he shared.
