João (John) Manuel De Jesus Gomes
February 6, 1945 to July 8, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of João (John) Manuel De Jesus Gomes, age 80, in Mississauga.
John Gomes was born in Olalhas, Portugal and immigrated to Canada in 1967. He is survived by his spouse Teresa and children John (Camila) Mitchell (Martine) and Christina (Pavlos). He was a loving grandfather to Nikolai, Cheyenne, Elio, Bianca, Josef-Luka, Ella and Sophia.
The family will be holding a public viewing on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at St. John’s Dixie Cemetery & Crematorium 737 Dundas Street East Mississauga ON L4Y 2B5 from 2-5p.m. for those who would like to celebrate his life.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Rest in peace, John Gomes. You will be missed by all who knew and loved you

John, Mitchell, & Christina,
Lisa and I were deeply saddened to hear about the passing of your dad. Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this difficult time. Losing someone who has been a part of your life and family is never easy, and I hope you find comfort in the memories you shared and the love that surrounds you.
