It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Samuel Isaiah Jones. Sam passed away peacefully in Mississauga on Tuesday, December 31st, 2024 at the age of 81.
Loving husband of 32 years to Minerva. Dear father of Melissa. Sam is predeceased by his parents, Granville and Clarine, and brother to Caswell, Patrick, Yvoille, Selwyn, Monica, and Erry. He will be fondly remembered by all his family, friends, and the communities in Canada, Barbados, the Philippines, England, and the United States.
Samuel was known to have a warm and generous heart. He will be remembered for the wealth of knowledge, spirituality, and support that he poured into everyone around him. Samuel touched many lives and will be missed dearly by everyone who knew him.
A memorial service will be held at the Magnolia Chapel of St. John’s Dixie Cemetery (737 Dundas Street East at Cawthra, Mississauga) on Thursday, January 9th from 4pm until 7pm.
The funeral service will take place from 7pm-8pm.

Samuel will be laid to rest at Glen Oaks Cemetery in Oakville.

Isiah lived on the same avenue as I did in Barbados. We would go for walks at Hastings Rocks, Marine Gardens and other areas of Darrell’s Road within a few square miles of of homes. At those times Isiah would be discussing various philosophies and life teachings. Isiah opened out minds to various topics like metaphysics. It was because of Isaiah that I was inspired to read more. I remember us giving lessons for kids leaving elementary School to go into high school. Isiah was a great friend and decent honorable man. My close friend. Prophet

Sam & I were both graduates of Foundation Schools in B’dos. spoke to him after 3 of our colleagues recently passed. He commented that we were the only 2 left in our moonlight picnic group. My family will miss his phone calls and emails, So very much.
