Ronald Muir

September 2nd, 1960 – September 13th, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Ronald Muir in his 64th year on Friday September 13th , 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer. Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Erika Muir. Loving father to Amanda Muir and Papa to Ethan Muir. Ronald will be missed immensely by his three brothers, John (Sandra) Muir, Will Muir, and Doug (Rose) Muir, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving sister Linda (Dave) James (Nee Muir) and his adoring grandson Devon Muir.

Ronald was born in Scotland in 1960 and came to Canada in November of 1966 with his family, and settled in the Toronto area. When him and Erika met in 1981, they knew very quickly that they had found forever together and started to build a life for themselves.

Ronald will be missed greatly by his colleagues at DCM where he worked for many years, his many friends, and extended family members in both Canada and Scotland.

Our family would like to thank the staff at Dorothy Ley Hospice for the exemplary care and dignity that they provided to Ronald in his final days.

In lieu of flowers, we are asking that donations be made to the Dorothy Ley Hospice in Ronald’s name.

Family and friends are invited on Saturday September 21st, 2024 to Ronald’s visitation and funeral service, held at St John’s Dixie Magnolia Chapel, located at 737 Dundas Street East in Mississauga at Cawthra. Visitation begins at 4pm, with the funeral service to follow at 5pm. Reception to be held onsite following the funeral.
