On the morning of August 12, 2023 Maria Danuta Strzałkowski (Kurpiel) died in Mississauga at the age 92 with her son Robert at her side. She was born in Lwów, Poland, (parents Jozef and Janni and Step Mother Maria), who had to move to Western Poland during WW2. She married Janusz Strzalkowski in 1949 and immigrated to Canada in 1960.
Maria put her family first, exemplified wisdom and kindness. Maria is preceded in death by her husband Janusz, oldest son Boleslaw, her parents and three siblings. She is survived by her two sons, Kornel (Fran) and Robert. Grandchildren Tamara (Steve), Alexander (Karen), Nicholas, Katherine (Matthew), Patrick (Eliana), step grandchildren Ryan (Lyndsey) and Emma (Ryan). Her Great grandchildren, Dylan, Skylar, Lucas, Gwendolyn, Nora, Robert and Lily. As well nieces and nephews in Canada and Poland.

Cremation has taken place and a private celebration of life will be held in the future with family.
