It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bruce Smith on Feb 27, 2019 after a courageous battle with brain cancer (GBM). Survived by his best friend and loving wife of 60 years Linda (nee Peirce) and his devoted daughter Jennifer McKenzie (Howard) predeceased by his son Robert (1975). Godfather to niece Vanessa. Loving Grandfather to Robert Sayles, Jason Sayles, David McKenzie and Natasha McKenzie. Great-grandfather of 12. Greatly missed by his devoted furry companion Cody. Bruce leaves behind siblings Anne, Eddie, Bill, Rondeau and predeceased by brother Charles. Brother-in-law to Alex, Bill, Ruthie predeceased by Mary and Jack. Bruce will be fondly remembered by all his nieces, nephews and friends. Bruce was a great storyteller, accomplished fisherman, who will be sadly missed by his fishing buddies Hank and Henry also enjoyed hunting with hunting buddy Rick. Special thanks to friends for all their support and to the caring staff, and volunteers at Stedman Community Hospice. Donations to Stedman Community Hospice are gratefully appreciated. Cremation has taken place, a celebration of life will take place Sunday March 24, 2019, at Brantford Golf and Country Club, Brantford ON 1-4 PM.

Bruce was one of the nicest fellows we knew. He was an excellent carpenter and it was always fun to have him working at our home. He will be missed by so many of his many friends. Please accept our condolences, Linda, and the other members of your family.
