Elisabeth Brejak, affectionately known as Liz, was born in Linz, Austria, on October 24, 1936, and peacefully passed away in Hamilton, Ontario, on December 22, 2023. She was 87.
Liz is survived by her son Ron Brejak and his wife Jeannie, and her son Chris Brejak and his wife Lynne. She was a beloved Oma to Maxwell (and Kathy), Sidney (and Laura), and Danielle and Josie.
Embracing a new chapter at the age of 19, Liz moved to Canada, where she built a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories. She was the heartbeat of her family, renowned as “Oma Doughnuts” for being the cherished source of delectable treats for her grandchildren.
Liz found joy in the company of her friends at Paramount Place, forming lasting connections that enriched her life.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. Instead, a private family function will be held to celebrate the life of this remarkable woman.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Canadian Lung Association. Contributions can be made at Canadian Lung Association
Elisabeth Brejak’s legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
